Recent craftage and using them scraps

Hello my crafting friends,

I just thought I would do a quick project share and try to talk to you in a little bit of Norsk so please forgive my mistakes....

I have been working on another album, this time using the Prima Romance Novel collection we have in store.
The collection is so pretty, pastel shades of pink, mixed in with greens, creams and blacks. I am not a 12 x 12 scrapper for some reason I dont enjoy doing layouts and I find smaller mini albums very hard to fill, you either loose some of your picture or there is never enough journaling space. So I have been making A4 (8.5x11) albums. I found these to give the perfect balance between photos and space to write.

Katrina ber sendt meg noen statister for denne måneden designteam. Alle med en julegave tema.Så langt har jeg jobbet på disse papir mache.baubles. De er en fin måte å bruke opp de små utklipp av blonder, stoff og papir. Jeg må si ideen til å bruke opp rester ble tatt fra Linecca.

Katrina kindly sent me some extras for this months Design team. All with a Christmas theme. The baubles are a great idea for that added personal touch on your Christmas tree. I do not normally decorate for Christmas, I know bar humbug . . . but with it being just hubbie and I there does not seem much point. However this year I have decided to decorate a tree with all handmade items with very little store bought decorations on it. There are lots of new Christmas items in store to get your jul creative juices flowing.

These baubles are a great way to use up those tiny bits of lace, fabric and paper that you have left over from previous projects. Credit has to go to Linecca for the idea, as during our time together she showed me some stockings she had been working on using this technique and since then I have used it on a lot of projects lol.

For the baubles I used acrylic paint in nougat and applied 2 coats. Over this I applied a layer of scintillating silver lindy's from the silver trymeset. This gives a soft shimmer to the bauble which dazzles when next to the tree lights ( yes I had to see) I then applied some pearl trim which I  cut to a single strand of the small round pearls. The acrylic flower is from my own stash.

If you give them ago yourself we would love to see what you come up with. Please put a link to your creations in the comment box.

Stay safe stay warm stay inspired

warm wishes

Vikkie
